PRIMARILY SPEAKING nasce da un laboratorio permanente, Corpo Intuitivo 19/20 di Daniele Ninarello, e svela la fragilità dell’individuo tramutandola in possibilità, esplora un tessuto di suggestioni in cui l’esperienza umana si traduce in gesto, condivisione, comunità. Si articola quindi una ricerca che utilizza il dialogo interiore come espediente per transitare attraverso un pattern ritmico coreografico che rimanda all’identità personale in continuo mutamento, nel desiderio di danzare un autoritratto che si definisce nella relazione con l’altro.

Daniele Ninarello, dopo aver frequentato la Rotterdam Dance Academy, danza con coreografi, musicisti e compositori di fama internazionale. Dal 2007 presenta le sue creazioni in diversi festival nazionali e internazionali. Dal 2010 le sue produzioni entrano a far parte della rete Anticorpi XL in Italia e all’estero grazie ai progetti Les Reperages e Dance Roads. Kudoku, realizzato insieme al musicista Dan Kinzelman, ha debuttato alla Biennale Danza di Venezia 2016 ed è tra i progetti selezionati per AEROWAVES TWENTY17, NID Platform e il Rencontres Chorégraphiques Seine-Saint-Denis Francia. STILL ha vinto il Premio Prospettiva Danza 2016, mentre il progetto più ampio STILL Body Experience with Digital Brain è tra i vincitori del bando ORA! Linguaggi contemporanei _ produzioni innovative della Compagnia di San Paolo. Da alcuni anni collabora e crea lavori per compagnie italiane e internazionali.

Giuseppe D’Alia, in arte Kenón, è un artista siciliano, classe 1982 che lavora tra digital art, musica e videoarte. Laureato presso l’Accademia di Belle Arti di Catania, ha collaborato con l’Associazione Culturale Néon nella produzione degli spettacoli “Oltre il Limite” (2009), “Terra Sconosciuta” (2010), “Thank you Mr. Down” (2011), “Neve” (2011) con la regia di Monica Felloni e la direzione artistica di Piero Ristagno. Ha partecipato alla produzione di videoclip insieme al regista Giovanni Tomaselli (Cinepila) e alla messa in scena dello spettacolo “Io ho fatto tutto questo” di Maria Arena (2013). Trasferitosi a Roma, si avvicina sempre più al mondo della musica proponendosi come DJ in diverse serate della capitale (Largo Venue, Forte Prenestino). Attualmente vive e lavora in Toscana.

A peso morto è uno spettacolo graffiante, una sorta di fotogramma di una periferia senza tempo e identità. La protagonista si sente una comparsa passiva di una città che non riconosce, di una periferia voluta, desiderata, ma sottratta a morsi nell’inutile e alquanto misteriosa nuova definizione di “Città Metropolitana”, che significa tutto e il suo contrario e che sprofonda nell’oblio… La città si “evolve”, si espande, dimenticandosi degli individui che hanno abitato le zone più marginali connotandole con i loro stessi tratti distintivi, con i dialetti, con le proprie memorie, le proprie rugosità. Corpi una volta protagonisti, ora pronti al crollo. Un microcosmo statico, stantio, rigonfio di vuotezza. La performance di Carlo Massari è uno studio open air sul vuoto della memoria perduta, sull’oblio delle cose andate. Che cosa resta? Corpi esanimi di eroi, re, caduti in disgrazia, malinconici e sognanti, in attesa di qualcuno che si accorga di loro ancora una volta. A peso morto rappresenta la pietas contemporanea con una fisicità che alterna lunghi momenti di staticità a improvvisi cedimenti, dinamiche e antidinamiche, distorsioni, disadattamento, sviluppando una profonda indagine sui cambiamenti e le dinamiche sociali.

C&C Company è un progetto fondato dai due performer Carlo Massari e Chiara Taviani. Il primo esordio della compagnia nel 2011 con Corpo e Cultura evidenzia sin da subito una forte vocazione per la ricerca di un linguaggio fisico necessario, fortemente drammaturgico, in stretta relazione con tematiche sociali contemporanee.
Ricevono negli anni prestigiosi riconoscimenti internazionali grazie a nuove creazioni: Maria Addolorata, Tristissimo (AnticorpiXL), 012, Peurbleue, Don’t Be Afraid, A peso morto. Parallelamente all’attività di produzione teatrale, prendono vita progetti formativi e performativi a partecipazione pubblica: ContaminAzioni, SpringRoll (RomaEuropa ’16), Femminile Plurale. L’importante progetto Beast Without Beauty ha ricevuto diversi premi nazionali e vede al suo interno l’alternanza di azioni sociali e produzioni in collaborazione con diversi partner Europei. La nuova produzione Les Miserables, selezionata alla NID platform 2019, è stato presentato all’interno di Interplay Digital 2020.

God Bless You riflette sull’enorme quantità di desideri che abbiamo‚ una moneta per ogni sogno che ci fa chiudere gli occhi e sperare‚ e allo stesso tempo riflette sulla figura dell’homeless come custode di desideri inesauditi. Trascina con sé bicchieri salvadanaio come fossero tante piccole fontane. Li dispone con cura muovendosi disorientato nello spazio da occupare e, per ogni tempo d’attesa, diventa figura di pietà pronta a ricevere desideri.

SPACE ODDITY is pure movement, is inspired by the influences of the surrounding world, lives from the relationship with space, time and the people who decide to expose themselves. A performance that was born for the public. Starting from the aesthetics of the place and getting to the intimate of the individual, it connects what is far away with what is close, invisible connections that live only on the imagination of the individual. Space Oddity changes with the place where it is located and with the people who live there, limited by “the five minutes of glory of solitude“, as the young choreographer Sara Sguotti likes to call them. An hourglass accompanies the performance, determining the creation and fading of relationships.

Sara Sguotti, dance artist, began her artistic career by attending Accademia di Belle Arti in Frosinone continuing her studies at the Academy of Florence. From 2012 she began to collaborate with the Virgilio Sieni Company as a dancer in the works Sonate Bach, Spring Exercises, Dolce Vita, La Mer, La Sagra della Primavera, Il prigioniero and 4 sacred pieces, Le Bagnanti, the new production Metamorphosis and in the various projects of the Accademia del Gesto and Venice Biennale Dance. In 2015 he worked with the Anton Lachky Company for Side Effects. In 2016 he began his career as an assistant to the movement for contemporary circus shows of the director Roberto Magro, with whom she created shows for the circus schools Esac, Codars, Flic. At the same time, she took part in the remake of the film Suspiria directed by Luca Guadagnino, signing the choreography in collaboration with Damien Jalet. In 2017 she collaborates with Cristina Rizzo for the production of VN Serenade. In 2018 she took part in the creation of Joye de Vivre by Simona Bertozzi. Her personal career begins with S. Rituale (duet version) S.SOLO (solo version), for which she wins the Corto in Danza award, a residence and production award at Cie Twain, the DNA call choreographic and debuts at RomaEuropa Festival in 2018. In 2016 she started the SA.NI. project together with Nicola Simone Cisternino. and with Tuttuno they are among the winners of the call Italia dei Visionari 2017 , the call Cura 2017 and selected for Vetrina Anticorpi XL 2017.

In 2019 she starts a research on the topic of “relationship with the public” with a solo called Space Oddity and collaborates with Jari Boldrini for the new creation of Nicola Simone Cisternino, Sobotta.

SEEKING UNICORNS. A unicorn, a creature moved by the desire to assert its presence in the world. Chiara Bersani continues her study of the body, keeper of a unique and unrepeatable story. A body that identifies as the perceptual entity of the other as a magnet, influenced by the revolutionary manipulation of distances between individuals. The unicorn is a mythological animal, although it does not have a shape defined in the myths in which it is told: sometimes it has the shape of an ox and sometimes a horse. In Seeking Unicorns the artist wishes to compensate it for the wrongs suffered, giving herself entirely to it. She wants to give him a story, a love, a choice. Welcoming its bewilderment through an idea of a political body, a body that responds to its social function at the very moment in which it chooses to immerse itself in society. Those who meet it cannot avoid giving them meaning, interpreting it, creating expectations around it. Seeking Unicorns also tells of Chiara Bersani’s challenge, her life as a “disabled” performer, but able to give herself completely to her fragile and uprooted imaginary animal. The performance is designed for non-theatrical spaces: empty, full, silent, crowded. Spaces whose light and history ask to be listened to and inhabited. Spaces where the unicorn tries to find itself in a new form, where, by stripping off its best clothes, it renounces the tales of the theater to start a journey of eyes and breaths destined to be different for each audience.

“Nothing is known about the unicorn. Its roots are lost in the succession of distracted genres of human beings. What happens if in the collective imagination will appear a figure with mythological traits yet orphaned by a myth that motivates and describes its existence? Is it born a symbol. Fragile. Uprooted. Chiara Bersani, 98 cm tall, self-proclaims the unicorn’s flesh, muscles and bones. Not knowing its heart, I will try to give it my breath, my eyes.”

Chiara Bersani is an Italian performer and author active in the sphere of Performing Art, research theater and contemporary dance. Both as an interpreter and as a director / choreographer she moves through different languages and visions. Her works, presented on international circuits, are born as creations in dialogue with spaces of different nature and are aimed primarily at an audience “close” to the scene. Her research is based on the concept of the Political Body and on the creation of practices aimed at training its presence and action. The long collaboration with Alessandro Sciarroni (Leone d’Oro 2019) has allowed her great visibility and followed by the public and critics thanks also to the touching performance Your Girl, presented at Interplay in 2009, in which Chiara personified human frailty.
The “manifesto” of his research is Gentle Unicorn, a performance included in the Aerowaves circuit. For the rigor in embodying this studio in 2019 she was awarded with UBU Award for Best New Performer Under 35. In August 2019 during the Edinburgh Fringe Festival Gentle Unicorn won the First Prize for the dance category at the Total Theater Awards.

MANBUHSA it’s an image: two kids playing in a rice field. Stimulated by the fascination for foreign civilizations and forged on the rhythms of music, a relationship is created between two dancers. Through movements, one pushes the other to discover its natural instinct. A vibrant journey of unconscious emotions, innocence and playfulness. The performers are transformed into cranes, spiders, peacocks, for a study and a transposition on the body of peculiar animal dances. Pablo Girolami began his academic studies in 2009 at the Dance Academy Zürich. He participated in TanzOlymp Berlin in 2012 winning the second prize and in the Korea international dance competition where he won the third prize. In 2014 he started his professional career in Wiesbaden / Darmstadt with the Hessisches Staatsballett. Among the various choreographers he danced for Ekman, Schechter, McGregor, Goecke, Soto and took part in the creations of Morau, Siegal, Donlon, Verbruggen. In 2018 he danced for Spellbound Contemporary Ballet. In 2017 and 2018 he created I see you over there for the Hessisches Staatballet, a piece selected for the Wiesbaden Theater Gala, and Mose3 involved in a video collaboration with DeDa Production and Café Klatsch. In 2019 he created Manbuhsa, a piece selected for various festivals and competitions, winner of the Twain_DirezioniAltre 2019 Award and selected for Anticorpi XL 2019. He is currently a free-lance artist.
Giacomo Todeschi was born in Rovereto (TN) on February 24, 1991. Since he was a child he has practiced various sports including skiing, swimming, judo and in 2003 he also approached artistic disciplines such as gymnastics and dance. In 2010 he began his professional career with the Spellbound Contemporary Ballet by Mauro Astolfi and Valentina Marini, with whom he will collaborate until 2019, also taking part in shows by international choreographers such as Sang Jijia and Dunja Jocic. In 2015/2016 he works for La Veronal by Marcos Morau. In 2019 he collaborates with Pablo Girolami for Manbuhsa.

Gosia Turzeniecka, Polish artist, born in 1974, of Turin adoption. Since 2003, her exhibitions have been numerous in Italy and abroad, in collective and individual exhibitions. Her beginnings, in the early 2000s, saw her using the engraving technique, a technique which maintains the delicacy of the stroke and which over time has evolved into a more immediate and synthetic restitution thanks to the use of watercolor.
In recent years she has also dedicated himself to portraiture, real and imaginary, preferring the use of black and white or soft pastel for urban and natural landscapes.

Daniele Ninarello, after attending the Rotterdam Dance Academy, he danced with internationally renowned choreographers, musicians and composers. Since 2007 he has presented his creations in various national and international festivals. Since 2010, his productions have become part of the Anticorpi XL network in Italy and abroad thanks to the Les Reperages and Dance Roads projects. VINCERE! VINCERE! VINCERE? Demolishing, destroying, asphalting, break down have become commonly used terms, with an exquisite positive meaning, but what remains of Man? VINCERE! VINCERE! VINCERE? investigates the theme of victory by taking as a reference the changes in common language and the frantic need of the Human Being to excel. In the choreographic action, the game of bodies arises from a spatial compositional criterion, developed starting from a constraint, that is, a delimited space that becomes an element to be exploited and translated into lines, directions and figures on which the choreography moves. Static phases alternate with dynamic phases, openings and compressions that give support and space to the emotional story. What is victory if it sweeps away the dignity or meaning of the human being with a single gesture? It is a conquest, of course, a piece to be added to the personal collection of medals, but without respect, empathy, value and understanding of the opponent, it simply transforms into careerism, into a violent and reckless form of ego, in a distorted and centralizing assessment of life itself.

S DANCE COMPANY was born in March 2016, as Project S from the idea of the choreographer Mario Coccetti and is composed of the dancers Rocco Suma and Salvatore Sciancalepore. Artistic creation, narration, technique, empathy with the public and social messages are the strengths of this project which explores the theme of identity declined in all its meanings, placing the accent on the value it assumes today and on a self-referential and globalized society. From this production process a trilogy was born divided into three chapters: Border, SIN and Melancholia – first studio. At the same time, the company opened to a more experimental phase with the work Undertaker Blues that combines choreographic styles, musical sounds and cinematographic language with the technique of contemporary dance.

S DANCE COMPANY is supported by Teatro Comunale of Copparo, Teatro Due Mondi, Teatri di Vita, ITC Teatro, Cantieri Culturali Creativi, De Micheli Danza Festival, Hangartfest. The company won the audience award at the Presente / Futuro Festival and a special jury mention at the InDivenire festival. Among the most recent stops, it was a guest at the Gender Bender Festival in Bologna, Orlando Festival in Bergamo, FIND Festival in Cagliari and Festival Iguales in Madrid.

Rocco Suma after a training at the Ida Ballet Academy directed by Steve La Chance and with Agora Coaching Project by Michele Merola and Enrico Morelli, he dances for numerous international choreographers including Francesco Nappa, Stefan Ferry, Emanuele Soavi, Ed Wubbe, Zerogrammi Dance Theater, Michele Oliva and Francesca Dario.

Salvatore Sciancalepore works as a dancer with numerous choreographers such as Emanuele Soavi, Francesco Nappa, Manfredi Perego, Michele Merola, Enrico Morelli, Fabrizio Monteverde, Eugenio Scigliano, Arianna Benedetti, Octavio de la Roza for the Festival d’Avignon, Antonio Bissiri’s Prendashanseaux and Michele Merola’s MMCompany.

RABBIA DA SALOTTO: four women on the verge of a nervous breakdown in the middle of an ordinary afternoon. Moments lived, breathed, suffered, “bestial”, a delicate feeling of malaise and a momentary madness … Federica Pozzo’s work wants to be a probable research on what she loves to define “living room anger”, on panic and horror that grip, blind, when faced with intolerable injustices. An investigation into anger, a state of mind that, although quickly fading, leaves an indelible trace.

Federica Pozzo participates as performer in multiple events and fashion shows for prestigious companies. Since 1995 he has been in New York, specializing in modern and contemporary dance with Doug Elkins, Stephen Petronio, Max Stone, Guido Tuveri, David Storey, Dwight Roden and Desmond Richardson, and in Paris with Michel Sebban, Redha, J.M. Boitiere, Peter Goss and Bruno Agati, David Zambrano. In Italy she organizes workshops with Giorgio Castello, Roberto Zappalà.She participates in various projects under the direction of Gabriele Vacis, Francesco Nuti and Davide Ferrario. From 1994 to 2015 she was a member of the Board of Directors of the Moncalieridanza Association and a councilor of the Association Coorpi – Coordinamento Danza Piemonte. In 1998 she founded the Gap association with her sister Michela. She participates in exhibitions, festivals, events and contests of contemporary and non-contemporary dance, including the Avignon Festival 2005. In September 2012 her performance s3tto is selected by Danz’è – Festival Oriente Occidente in the young choreographers category. In September 2015, with the Eclectica team she created, for the Central Station of Milan and for the Grandi Stazioni Society, an urban event that combines the dance and the wonderful architecture of the Station. In 2016 she is the choreographer of the theater production I 3 moschettieri, one of the main shows of the entire season of Teatro Piemonte Europa, under the direction of Gigi Proietti, Beppe Navello and other very important directors of the Italian panorama. In the same year she presented his creation Sfioro for PalcoscenicoDanza at the TRG of Turin. In 2017 she deals with the choreographic movements of the show Una delle ultime sere di carnevale by Goldoni, with the choreography of Beppe Navello.

DERIVA TRAVERSA raccoglie il lascito di un mestiere antico, quello del pastore, per esplorare il tema della solitudine propria della vita di chi intraprende questo lavoro. L’eco delle voci per richiamare il bestiame imitano il suono del vento e trasmettono oralmente la tradizione generazione dopo generazione. La compagnia Dewey Dell torna dopo anni a Interplay con una creazione di Teodora Castellucci dove il movimento rallentato lascia spazio alla storia dei pastori trasformati in poeti dal canto. La loro immersione totale nel paesaggio è resa grazie a un movimento da contemplare, un tentativo di decifrazione dell’invisibile. Deriva Traversa è stato prodotto grazie al sostegno del Festival Danza Urbana e il Festival Città delle Cento Scale.

Dewey Dell is an Italian company of dance and research theater based in Cesena, Berlin and Vilnius. In their works the choreography has a cutting style and a primitive glossary, continuously inspired and fed by images from the history of art and the animal kingdom. The company is made up of four people who work as a collective, even if each component carries out individual research in its own field of specialization: Teodora Castellucci is the choreographer, Demetrio Castellucci composes the music, Eugenio Resta designs the scenes and the lights, Agata Castellucci assists and takes care of the collective direction and the entire production.
For more than ten years, Dewey Dell has been pursuing a complex research path that includes more than ten creations. Their first work à elle vide (2007) immediately caught the attention of the public for the originality of the expressive research. The latest creations confirm the company’s inclination to find new forms of experimentation regarding dance in relation to different art forms, also opening up to external collaborations. Marzo (2013) was created with the assistance of the Japanese theater director Kuro Tanino and the visual artist and cartoonist Yuichi Yokoyama who designed the costumes, Sleep Technique – A response to Chauvet Pont d’Arc Cave (2017) had the musical contribution of the bassist Massimo Pupillo (Zu) and singer Attila Csihar (Mayhem).
Since 2011 Dewey Dell is also a musical project that manifests itself through the creation of live concerts where music is played through a choreography. Their live concerts have been scheduled in important music festivals such as Arma Save festival in Moscow, Funkhaus Berlin for Arma X, Cabaret Voltaire in Zurich, Khidi of Tbilisi.
For the show Sleep Technique – A response to Chauvet Pont d’Arc Cave (2017), the company was nominated for the Der Faust Theaterpreis in Germany under the ‘choreography’ category.
