AZZURRO: The artistic research of the company is based on the power of imagination, always looking for new languages in a constant search towards an extremely dynamic physicality. Since its foundation in 2016, Mario Bermudez has created 12 choreographies for Marcat Dance that have been performed 112 times in 10 countries and over 50 cities. His journey began as a performer and the years from 2012 to 2016 in which he was a member of the Tel Aviv-based Batsheva Dance Company and performed works by Ohad Naharin, Sharon Eyal, Hofesh Shechter and Roy Assaf are particularly significant. The show he presents at Interplay takes inspiration from the blue color of the sky, brilliance and lightness, taking shapes and textures from the soundscape of Baroque dance and combining them with contemporary music.
