We will not lower our voices. An enveloping blend of contemporary, urban and folk dance, the piece is rooted in the body as ritual. Two women dance an embodied resistance, dressed in white, with long hair, eyes heavily lined in black and dark tears that evoke strength, pain and rebirth. Sounds inspired by Northern European folklore transport us back in time. Transcending the figure of the witch, Cecilia Bartolino and Katerina Markoulidaki become spells, stories and beacons of light in the darkness themselves. An urban choreography that celebrates memory, solidarity and female transformation through the expressiveness, resilience and connection of the body.
