Cani Lunari. On stage, the five stunning performers of Stuporosa – winner of the Ubu Award for Best Show 2024 – present a new creation by Marilungo, in which they take on the roles of contemporary witches, amidst rituals, limping, trance-like states and frenzied laughter. Crows, stones and elaborate costumes intertwine with Vera Di Lecce’s soundscape. House dance, natural sounds, chants and magic spells give shape to a score suspended between the earthly and the divine. When the full moon is refracted by ice crystals, luminous halos form: the moon dogs. In this performance, the natural phenomenon interpreted through folk tradition becomes the key to unlocking the imagery of the archaic feminine and the magical knowledge associated with it.

Vera Di Lecce is a singer, musician and performer who blends tradition and experimentation into a personal musical language, combining hybrid electronic sounds, world percussion and synths. Originally from Puglia and now based in Rome, she began her artistic journey within the Salento tradition and collaborated with artists such as Nidi d’Arac, Cesare Basile and Alfio Antico, before launching her solo project in 2012. Following the EP Heavy Butterflies (2012) and the album 29 Seconds (2015), produced by Martyn Heyne (Efterklang), she developed an independent artistic direction that blends experimental pop, electronic music and performances with a strong ritualistic impact. Her timeless voice traverses medieval, traditional and contemporary alt-pop influences. She collaborates with choreographer Francesco Marilungo as a musician and performer in the show Stuporosa (2023), dedicated to ritual weeping, and has composed the music for his new work Cani Lunari, a journey into the feminine through the figure of the witch.
