Ad Libitum. (literally ‘at will’) celebrates the relationship between vulnerability and freedom, exploring those moments when one must reinvent oneself in order to fully embody one’s true self. Lasting just over 50 minutes, it builds a continuous dialogue between dance and live music: Le Borgne confronts rigid forms, symbols of social and identity constraints, which she progressively deconstructs, revealing a body in perpetual metamorphosis; she moves as if encountering invisible obstacles, playing with contrasts between tension and release, balance and fall. The mutual listening between the two becomes the driving force of the performance. Zangs composes live, switching between drums, synthesiser and electric guitar. He weaves a soundscape in constant interaction with movement, where every fall opens up to a rebirth and every gesture resonates like a vital pulse. The experience is vibrant and instinctive, inviting the audience to perceive the intensity of change, the transformative power of the body and sound, and the beauty of an artistic dialogue in constant evolution. The show is part of a network project involving 10 Italian programmers, in partnership with the Institut François and the French Embassy.
