RE_PLAY. A danced and spoken solo balanced between personal and public, real and fake, in dialogue with everyday technology. A stage of aesthetic and intellectual re-elaboration of a personal experience, it stands in the gap between sound-voice and movement; it continues the study of the game between autobiographical reality and fiction up to probe its limits in a choreographic sense, which means compositional and musical. RE-PLAY is the re-enactment of memories of virtual and real souvenirs. In this performance we reflect on the concept of Distance and, consequently, on that of Proximity that is linked to it, the performance questions the use of devices in our everyday life: archive of memories, elaboration of other “identities”, surrogate of “presences” in the absence of a live body, external gaze able to create distance from the self. The choreographic score is developed from the study of a personal archive that collects photos and private videos of the last 2 years, many of which are intended to be shared on social networks through private messages. Through the choreographic device, the use of the device (smartphone, pc, tablet) is experimented as a potential witness, another look, bodily surrogate, useful to facilitate a distance from the self. The research of the materials starts from the body that becomes sedimentation of memories, images, missed acts.
