Nec Nec‚ or rather: Neither this, Nor that.
Neither a woman, Nor a horse.
Neither a bride, Nor a puppet.
Neither yes, Nor no.
Neither heads, Nor tails.
A double female figure explores her various natures. Hers is not a metamorphosis, rather, it is the coexistence of different scenarios.
She knows that the tangle is a creative need and the tearing of a regular fabric is the only possibility of change.
Marta Bevilacqua
Dancer and choreographer who studied at the Island Dance Academy, directed by Carolyn Carlson.
Since 1998, she has worked regularly with the company Arearea.
She composed the trilogy the Book of Meat (Reliquia_2008, Nervi_2009, Innesti_2010) a study focused on the genealogy of the body.
She danced for Aldes/Roberto Castello in Il migliore dei mondi possibili (The best of all possible worlds).
Her creation Nec Nec was chosen for the Anticorpi Showcase and the tour circuit Explo 2011 and she won the competition “Cortoindanza” in Cagliari.
Her artistic research brings together two seemingly irreconcilable languages: dance and philosophy.
