Nuove Proposte/New Proposals Section in collaboration with the Interplay/11 Festival

A testimony of different poetic paths‚ reinforced with highly personal artistic research – of a contemporary that in some ways‚ even if not affecting us directly‚ most certainly touches us – that of the four young Italian choreographers presented in the New Proposals Section in collaboration with the Festival Interplay/11‚ as part of the Italian Dance Platform │ Italian Dance Focus of the festival Torinodanza.

Dewey Dell‚ a company whose members are very young‚ approaches that dream-like magic of the imaginary played against a background that's a bit dark‚ with choreographic moments that evoke the world of plastic arts. Very different is Your Girl by Alessandro Sciarroni‚ which touches upon the deepest chords of romantic relationships‚ presenting us beauty enriched by heroic and highly emotional inner values. More dynamic‚ instead‚ is the new solo by Daniele Albanese whose arrhythmic dance‚ made up of broken movements‚ speaks to us of contradictory physical forces‚ as does Sport by the company Nanou‚ whose choreographic sequences manage to convey those perceptions that only the mechanical eye of the camera can give us... transposed into movement.

Daniele Albanese‚ the winning artist of the 2010 competition “Fondo Fare Anticorpi”‚ sponsored by the Civic Theatre of Ferrara‚ has presented his work at PS122 in New York‚ Festival Sesc in San Paulo‚ Brazil and at the festival Fabbrica Europa‚ Piccolo Theatre of Milan.

The group Dewey Dell directed by Teodora Castellucci is the winner of the new creativity project of the ETI 2010‚ produced by Fies Factory one - Drosera Festival‚ the GD’A Emilia Romagna winner in 2007‚ and performed at the festival Aereowaves in 2008.
The group Nanou was the GD’A winner in 2004‚ and have been sponsored by others such as Fabbrica Europa Foundation‚ Pontedera Theatre Foundation and the Drosera Festival.

The perfomer Alessandro Sciarroni‚ with his creation Your Girl‚ highly praised by critics‚ was chosen for the finals of the International Performance Award in Dro‚ Centrale FIES and for the European tour “Resolution!” in 2010‚ won the “Germogli” award in 2007 and the “Nuove Sensibilità” award in 2008 with the project If I was Madonna‚ produced by the Marche Civic Theatre and was chosen for the international platform AEROWAVES 2010‚ London.
