10−day Residency for the new creation presented at the ESTERNI ’08 festival.

Ambra Senatore‚ born in Turin in 1976‚ has worked in the field of dance theatre since 1997‚ both in Italy and in France. Since 2004‚ she has created works that have drawn inspiration from the physical observation of simple daily events which then evolve into a composition of actions that shift the viewpoint of reality with an underlying subtle Surrealistic humorism. She has studied with Raffaella Giordano‚ Dominique Doupuy‚ Jean Cébron‚ Catherine Diverres‚ Malou Airaudo‚ Bill T. Jones‚ Ivan Wolf‚ Nigel Charnok‚ Karine Waehner and Michelle Anne de Mey. In 2001‚ she attended the Isola Dance Academy in Venice‚ directed by Carolyn Carlson. Among others‚ she has collaborated with Giorgio Rossi‚ Jean Claude Gallotta‚ Georges Lavaudant (Odeon Theatre‚ Paris)‚ Marco Baliani and Michela Lucenti. She has collaborated in teaching Dance History at DAMS of the Turin University and Milan’s State University.

Antonio Tagliarini‚ author and performer. Since 2000 he has created dance and theatre works and projects‚ presented throughout Italy and Europe. He has collaborated with many artists on performances in which he very often performs: Miguel Pereira‚ Idoia Zapaleta‚ Daria Deflorian‚ Massimiliano Civica‚ Fabrizio Arcuri‚ Danya Hammoud and Ambra Senatore.

Turin’s Ambra Senatore‚ often a guest artist in our events‚ was also the choreographer supported by the Interplay festival for the Young Dance Showcase⁄07 – Ravenna‚ organized by the ANTICORPI XL network partners (www.anticorpi.org) and curated by Cantieri Association of Ravenna. Then she won the selection of AnticorpiXl ’07 and hence‚ presented her work in the various events organized by the network partners:

Week−long Residency for Eleonora Ariolfo to work on her performance chosen for the Young Dance Showcase – Ravenna ’08

Eleonora was selected to participate in the tour organized by the DANCE ROADS network – February/March ’08 (www.danceroads.net) ‚ with support from Interplay Festival‚ Gai⁄Pogas and Mibac. The choreographer was also chosen for the Spaces for Dance ’09 project‚ with backing from the ETI and the Piedmont Region.

Eleonora Ariolfo‚ who graduated from the Rotterdam Dance Academy‚ worked in Amsterdam with the companies of Troy Mundy and Truss Bronkhorst until 2004‚ when she returned to Italy and collaborated the Egribianco Company and the choreographer Eugenio De Mello. With her own choreographies‚ she has participated in and won competitions in Florence‚ Spoleto‚ Metaponto and Pinerolo. With the duo III Cielo (3rd Sky)‚ she was a finalist in the competition “Coreografo d’Europa” (Europe’s Choreographer). In the 2006 season‚ she founded the company D.E.A.‚ and danced in and choreographed “Moving Snow”‚ produced by Turin’s Teatro Regio and presented during the 2006 Winter Olympic Games in Turin. In 2007‚ an early study of the solo Parole Mute (Mute Words) was presented‚ with support from the Ticino Festival and proposed during the series “Percorsi d’Autore” (Author’s Paths)in the cities of Rovigo‚ Venice and Verona. After newly studying and re−staging the same work‚ she participated in the international tour of “Dance Roads”.

I’ve been dancing for as long as I can remember‚ at first on the living room rug‚ then at the age of 15‚ I began studying jazz‚ ballet and contemporary dance at a school in Urbino and at various workshops in Italy and abroad. Meanwhile‚ I received my diploma in Film Animation at the Institute of Art. In 2007 I got my degree in Dance Theatre at the “Trinity Laban” School(London)‚ and in the summer of the same year I participated in the festival “Dancewebeurope” (Vienna). Now I am involved in letting my imagination take shape without any limitations as to the field.
