YUGEN. How far can a story be created through ever-changing, vulnerable, manipulable improvisation? A specific research on improvisation and tempo that questions the possibilities of rhythm, an instrument from which Sita creates a new language shared by the dancers on stage. But it is also a personal story that addresses the individual from the individual, ambiguous in his being independent and influenced. This is how movement becomes a springboard to discover new empathies, new relationships and new visions.

Sita Ostheimer is the artistic director of the Sita Ostheimer Company, based in Berlin, Germany. Since 2016 she has collaborated with the dancers Jonathan Sanchez, Manuel Molino, Jens Schyth Brøndum, Patric Lindström, Jorane Berger and Clémentine de Reggiseni, and with the musicians Donald Bateille, Adrien Casalis, Pepo Galán and Light – Designer Barnaby Booth. Among her most important creations hosted in Germany, Spain, Korea, Switzerland and Italy: Chasm (2017), Molimo (2017), Two (2018), Human in Pieces (2018) and Noi (2018).
