YOUNG BLOOD. What does it mean to be young? Young Blood represents all those young people, that generation endowed with energy, creativity and involvement to develop new paths, which however society does not allow to thrive. We continually observe new currents, trends, new discourses of the “Young Blood” that are increasingly in line with the world in which we live … Why don’t they have power? This performance recounts the claiming of their position and demonstrating what it means to be young and belong to the new generations that will change the planet. Young Blood was awarded the best choreography at the 24th edition of Masdanza, won the Jury Prize at the 32nd Choreographic Contest in Madrid, gave the opportunity to the choreographer Arnau Perez to travel overseas and present a site-specific work in Washington DC and to participate in the American Dance Festival Choreographic Residence Program.

“We are this generation of young people with energy, creativity and involvement to develop new paths but that is felled by the mood of this society. Each one of us has much to say and claim in each place and environment. You are watching us. We are ready, but … are you?”
